Glitters, colours and gold flakes gallore!

Remember the constellations and shooting stars in glittering dark New Zealand skies, this is probably the closest you can relive the moments without flying over. With a generous amount of glitter powder, gold flakes, resin paints and mica powder, learn how to layer colours and utilise different types of glitters to replicate the night sky in your heart.

What is epoxy resin?

Epoxy resin is a form of “liquid plastic” that is commonly used by crafters to create a myriad of lifestyle products. Its liquid nature allows it to takes the shape of any moulds before hardening to form usable products such as coasters, accessories, trays, notebook covers, bottle openers and many more.

Who can join this workshop?

If you have prior experience with resin art, this workshop is suitable for you to further hone your pouring skills. The content is suitable for adults and children above 9 years old. Children below 9 years old should be accompanied by adults as the workshop will require participants to measure, mix epoxy resin and handle heat gun.

Where can i hold this workshop?

The workshop can be conducted in offices or any indoor places with flat surfaces and power point. However it is important to ensure that the workshop location is still accessible the next day as epoxy resin takes around 24 hours to cure (harden).

Can i join in the workshop from home or virtually?

While it is possible to conduct the workshop virtually, we highly recommend on-site workshop to keep the cost affordable by having participants to share the heat guns.

What can i expect from this workshop?

We will introduce you to the world of colours and textures used to create a galaxy themed resin product. You will also learn how to add layers of colours and create marble effects. Given that epoxy resin takes about 24 hours to cure (harden), please note that the final product will not be ready to use immediately. Regardless, it is definitely a great keepsake that reminds you of the happy time spent.
